Despite being a small anatomical structure, lips have a great importance as they are at the center of the face and take part in all facial gestures that instantly reflect the emotions. Lip shaping with HA fillers is not as easy and fast a procedure as it is thought of. There are two main reasons for that:
We need to wait until the filler completely integrates into the tissue, and with that in mind, to perform the procedure in several sessions.
Therefore the volume and the thickness that the lips will gain shall be clear after patiently enlarging the pocket in which we inject the filler. Not every lip will thicken as much as it is “desired” or “expected”. Trying to inject the lip filler in a single session or in high doses will irreversibly subvert the dynamics of this sensitive area.
As a result, lip filling is not an easy, quick and satisfying procedure as it is assumed to be. It may even lead to a huge disappointment in inexperienced hands.
