Masseter Botox (Teeth Grinding Treatment)

Masseter is the muscle on both sides of the chin and is in charge of the chewing function.

Continuous chewing, night bruxism and stress-related teeth grinding causes the masseter muscle to enlarge and strengthen.

Botulinum toxin that is injected into the masseter muscle weakens and downsizes the muscle. The facial line that has become rectangular and relatively masculine consequently becomes thinner and more oval. A thinner and younger appearance is achieved thus.

Masseter botox also decreases the general strain on the face by relieving the lower jaw muscles. It eventually relieves the stress and teeth grinding problem.

The thing to pay attention during intramuscular botox injection is ensuring a balanced amount of toxin. Botox injections on levels that may impair the jawline and cause sagging and loosening should be avoided.

A special diet for masseter botox is not necessary. There will be no difficulty and pain during eating and chewing. However, chewing gums or consuming too much nuts or tough meats that leads to intensive chewing movements may cause the masseter muscles to thicken again.
