Jawline Definition

Jawline is the area starting from pre-auricular region and ending up at the chin. There are 3 different anatomical areas that forms this line, and the filler type that you should use to give definition to these areas and the layer that you shall inject the filler must be different.

You should apply a much harder filling to the area where you aim a bony look, and spread it evenly on the immediate upper side of the bone. For the contours of the muscles or other soft tissue structures, you should apply fillings from a softer spectrum and evenly spread them to more superficial layers. If these crucial parameters are neglected, there is a big chance of observing irregularities, swellings, and long-term deformities on the jawline in certain light conditions or photographs.

Before jawline definition procedure, I primarily assess the proportion of the lower face to the other parts of the face, as the angles, distances and volumes of the lower face determine the wideness/narrowness or the masculinity/femininity of the face.

As a result, an overemphasized and large jawline may not always look good as you want it to be. The most appropriate approach would be to evaluate this matter before proceeding to the next stage and plan the procedure accordingly.
